The antioxidant treatment process for graphite electrodes includes material preparation, weighing, liquid formulation, electrode immersion treatment, and drying. After treatment, graphite electrodes can be processed into various standardized graphite electrode products. Compared to untreated graphite electrodes, the treated electrodes feature a smoother surface and better conductivity. Their mechanical strength is increased by 50-60%, their porosity is reduced by 10-15%, and electrode consumption can be lowered by 20-25%. Electrode consumption can be reduced by 20-25%.

The antioxidant treatment process for graphite electrodes is characterized by being carried out through the following steps:
(1) Material preparation and weighing: Weigh the graphite electrodes to provide qualified materials ready for processing.
(2) Preparation and Heating of the Immersion Solution: The immersion solution consists of 18–27% industrial boric acid (H↓[3]BO↓[3]) and 7–15% industrial borax (Na↓[2]B↓[4]O↓[7]). After mixing, the solution is adjusted to a liquid state with water, and then heated once prepared.
(3) Impregnation Treatment: Place the prepared graphite electrodes into a vacuum chamber and seal it. Use a vacuum pump to evacuate the chamber, then inject the heated impregnating liquid into the vacuum chamber for impregnation. During the impregnation process, replenish the impregnating liquid as needed when its concentration decreases.
(4) Secondary Weighing: After the immersion treatment, open the vacuum canister, remove the graphite electrodes that have been immersed, and drain off the浸液. The weight of the electrodes after immersion increases by more than 10%.
(5) Drying Treatment: After immersion, the graphite electrodes are dried to ensure that their moisture content does not exceed 0.5%.
(6) Triple Weighing: After drying, weigh the graphite electrode again, ensuring that the increase in weight is at least 3% of its weight before impregnation.
(7) Finished Product Processing: The graphite electrodes that have undergone the above-mentioned treatment can be machined into standard shapes as needed. The graphite electrodes that have undergone the above-mentioned treatment can be machined into standard shapes as needed.
